During the summer months, icebergs are often abundant just beyond the Harbour entrance to Notre Dame Bay. The prevailing tides bring icebergs so close that they often become grounded in our tickle. Whales can also be observed during the summer. If you’re lucky, you’ll have a whale put on a show for you like this one did in 2015.
If the conditions permit, you can venture out through the tickle to Notre Dame Bay where, depending on the time of year, icebergs and/or whales can be observed.
